His name is Red

As for the happenings. The missing goat -- unfortunately, she died. She was out in the field. No idea what happened or why but we'll probably have the vet out to check on the others just to be sure that there isn't anything that we are missing.

In the meanwhile, the ladies have a visitor. His name is Red. A.k.a. baby goat daddy. He's a local boy. Lives on a nearby farm. He'll visit for a few weeks and then go home.

The ladies were quite interested in his arrival as evidenced by them surrounding him right after he entered the field. Jonah was a bit skepital about his bright pink collar but besides that we're hoping things will work out. So far, he seems to know what his job is and he was getting to it.

Since it was raining this Friday, instead of working on the fence, Jonathan (& co) built a manger for hay. Worked out to have exactly 18 spaces. The goats seem to like it. Of course anything that is remotely related to eating seems to sit well with goats.
