Over the last week, the loft has been put up. Our original plans called for a wallboard closed-in office on the second floor. Once we could see and feel the great room, it seemed somewhat of a waste to close in so much space. So instead (with the very gracious enthusiasm of our contractor) a loft idea came about and is now in place. It will need railing and a spiral stair case to finish it off... but that will come later.
