Beams to make a loft...

Most of the beams for the support of the "office" loft went up today. It's nice to get a feeling of how the room below will feel. It only needs a few more to be done.

The house was hopping in other ways today, as well. The heat and cooling guys were back and putting in more of the duct work. We guess that they'll be done in a day or so. The electric & plumbing guy was there, too. We laid out most of the basic plans for where all of the lights will go. (Appearantly, it's important to have a light and vent right above the toilet in the master bath...or at least that's what we believe to be true now.)

The outside masonry is getting closer to being done. We guess it'll be a few more days and then onto the fireplace.

One last thing of note. We followed this truck into our property this afternoon. It turned out to be the tongue&groove for the ceiling and the stain & bug juice (insecticide) for the exterior of the logs. Insulation should be on the list next...
