These few days of warm temperatures and rain coupled with the remaining snow of the last few weeks have made for fast running streams and lots and lots of MUD. When Jonathan went out there is morning, there were six trucks in line rearing to head up the muddy driveway. The first few made it ok. Then our contractor's truck that was hauling water for the morter had to be pulled up.
Then the delivery truck with the windows and doors attempted... but there was no way. So instead, they were delivered to our shed for storage.
Despite the muddy mess, nearly half of the roof was layed down. A good deal of the 'stucco' was put up on the first level in prep for the stone. And, the base of the first level fireplace was layed.
On the farm end, little billy #13 went to his new home (where his new company consists of 8 little lady goats.) Appearantly, #12 did not want to be left behind. He jumped the temporary electric fence and bounded down the hill after the truck. So #12 went for the ride but came back. He'll spend the night in the stall in the shed until the fence can be reinforced. Fingers crossed he'll be found another home soon.
