White Christmas

It has been a very wonderful white Christmas for us on Whistle Pig Ridge. The snow and ice from the mid-December storm had just barely begun to melt when we were (and currently still are) being blanketed with lots of the cold, white fluffy stuff.

Though we missed much of the traditional family visitation, we enjoyed spending a nice quiet white Christmas at home. We did have some excitment; however, one of the nannies ("orange 11") gave birth to a set of boy twins. It was quite cold and wet in the run-in shed in the field.

We had to move them to the pen in the shed (with which Mama was not very cooperative). Though one is not quite walking completely right, they have bonded and are nursing well.
The big question is "who's next?"

(Pictures to come... haven't been successful getting the cell phone picture to load... and haven't taken the 'good' camera out into the snow for fear of water damage by blowing snow.)
