And more snow...
And our world is still mostly covered with a big white blanket of snow...
In the first picture, the snow drifts have covered the creek.
In the second, the bulldozer that came to our rescue. It found our road so that hay and water did not need to be hauled by foot or sled and that the workers could get back up to the house.
The nannies have not ventured very far from their shed and they bellow their complaints any time we are around. Unfortunately, as we feared, it seems that with the harsh elements and the illness, brown saddle did not make it but a few days. She will always be remembered as the first goat we ever kidded (and what an experience that was) and the first goat we ever milked (even more of an experience for me... I swear she had smoke coming out of her ears and flames of fire in her eyes -- and me, just trying to milk some colostrum for her weak little triplets!)
The little goats have faired as well as could be expected. They stay in the old milk shed a lot. In the last picture, you can see #1 (who happens to be brown saddle's daughter) peaking out the window. (Click the picture for a bigger version.)
