So it only took 9 months and much blood, sweat (and dare I say a few tears?) and the perimeter fence is complete! The last of the wires (mostly for the "temporary fence" where the soon to be driveway will be) went up today. The fence line was re-cleared of vegetation. Electric applied and - voila! - the pastures are in business!
The run-in shed is getting closer to being done. Roof support mostly done.
Staining the sides was done today with some gracious help. We just need the roof applied and it will be ready for full time occupancy for goats.
So with the fence done, we allowed the goats to be out of their smaller pasture. They seemed to love to roam and eat whatever where ever. One caught glimpse of her reflection our SUV... fortunately, she didn't challenge her reflection. Though they like to roam around, they haven't forgotten their way back to their little pasture. They head back in as soon as it looks like it's beginning to rain or get dark. They are good goats... well, except the two we still haven't caught...

Congratulations on finishing the fence! Sounds like this project was a heck of a lot more amibitious than any of the fences we cooperated on several years ago.
Thanks for keeping this blog. We're glad to see and hear the news.
