As far as the inside goes, this week, they've been working on finishing (taping and mudding) the drywall. Paint should be next... just have to make final decisions on color. As far as outside, the drilling company has been out and at work. Unfortunately, it looks like our well will need to be deep. Appearantly, our mountain (or at least where we decided to dig) is mostly shale. Last we heard, they were going down to 500 feet (and it was all with casing) .... fingers crossed that it does the trick.
Last week, we separated the 2-3 month old baby goats from their moms and put them in the small, lower field with the yearlings and the bottle babies. Except for one escapee, it was without too much trouble. Even the one who escaped was caught without too much work. There has been a little bit of crying between the fields but for the most part, the babies have adjusted well.
