Winter appears to be among us. We've had the first significant snow of the season last week. Goats, reportedly, don't care much for winter weather. To that truth, ours have found refuge in the shed and, when it has been really cold and snowy have stayed in. We have not had any more losses over this past time. We do have one goat who appears to have a persistent problem with worms that has been treated and re-treated.
All in all, they seem to all be doing well including visitor Red. We have noticed that many of them appear to be expanding in their middles which begs Jonathan to ask the question today, "Are they pregnant or just fattening up for the winter?" Hmm. I dunno, honey. Guess we'll find out in the spring. I have to admit... Trixie is looking a bit more than just chubby. Triplets, again, maybe? For fun, I captured a video of the goats. They had been "showing off" a little butting heads until I turned on the camera. Mostly they were standing around wondering why we weren't giving them any grain. Red was the only one really interested--and I'm not really sure what he was doing... but I did have to keep backing from him. Only modestly entertaining (if at all) but its here if anyone is interested.

Hannah and John loved the video. Both are now demanding goats for Christmas!
