We weren't planning on having puppies... but puppies we did have! In the spring, our 2 year old labrador retreiver, Sophie ran off. After a week of searching, she was located. A few days after she returned, a boy-dog-visitor showed up one night. He looked like a black long-haired retriever. Not too long later, Sophie had puppies. THIRTEEN puppies!
They all did well. We did end up having to supplement the runt "Bear" with bottle-feeding for a little while. Thankfully, we also found wonderful homes for all but two that we've decided to keep. 
Arizona (aka "Zona") is the black, inquisitive one. Corolla (aka "Lola") is the sweet (sleeping in the photo) yellow one.
