We have an egg!

As we approached the chicken coop this morning, the ladies were very noisy. I commented to them, "It's TIME for eggs my dears. You need to start earning your keep." Open the coop door and -- lo and behold -- one lowly egg in the corner laying box! Pretty good size and good quality shell for a first. Ok... now it's for the other 25 to show their stuff.

The excitement of the egg quickly wore off as it was time to start stacking the hay that was cut this week. It's nice looking hay... just hope that it lasts the winter.
